- NOTICE OF ELECTION NOTICE is hereby given that The Town of Altamont will be accepting Declaration of Candidacy for the following Positions to the Governing Body: Two (2) Council member 4 years term One (1) Council member 2 years term Each municipal office will be beginning on the first Monday of January 2024. Given a sufficient number of candidates, a primary election will be held in August 2023 with the Municipal General Election being held in November, 2023. The constitutional and statutory qualification requirements for municipal office are: 1. The person is a registered voter in the municipality. 2. The person will be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election. 3. The person is a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election. 4. The person has not been convicted of a felony. If you have any questions, please contact the Altamont Town Clerk Mandy Gardner 435-823-3401 Interested parties may declare their candidacy for an office in person between June 1 Between 12:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. June 2, 5, 6 Between 3p.m and 5 p.m. and 7, 2023 between 10:00 a.m. -5p.m. at the Town Building located at 15585 West 4000North Altamont Utah. Deadline is 5p.m. on June 7,2023.
