PUBLIC NOTICE
#23-125
Sealed BIDS will be received for the construction of the VARIOUS ROADWAY REPAIR PROJECTS,
located at: River Road, Riverside Drive, Tabernacle Street, and Dixie Drive St. George, Utah.
BIDS must be submitted in a sealed envelope prior to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 to:

Each sealed envelope containing a BID must be plainly marked on the outside #23-125
and VARIOUS ROADWAY REPAIR PROJECTS.
The BIDS shall be opened in an electronic meeting. Notice for the BID opening shall be sent to
everyone on the Plan Holders List prior to the BID opening.
There will be a Pre-BID meeting held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 9:00 AM at the St. George City
Public Works Office, located at 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah, 84770.
The bidder shall visit the project sites and become familiar with the existing site conditions.

The BID includes the following: Roadway reconstruction of various roads throughout St. George
including roadway excavation, roto milling, subgrade preparation, geotextile, untreated
base course, HMA, reconstruction of manholes and valve boxes, and paint striping.
All BIDDERS who submit a BID are required to be on the Plan Holders List. Addenda will only be
provided to the plan holders that are on the Plan Holders List.

The 100% performance - labor and materials bond will be required on this project. Every BID
shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the BID, naming the City of St. George as
obligee, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of
Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George.
As required by St. George City Code 1-10B-14 a signed certificate of legal work status for the
BIDDER must accompany the BID.
City of St. George reserves the right to reject any, or all BIDS, or to waive any formality or
technicality in any BID, in the interest of the city.
