PUBLIC NOTICE OF ELECTION
An election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 to elect one
(1) Trustee to a four (4) year term (2024 through 2027) to the Board of Trustees of the Oquirrh Recreation and Parks District (the 'District'). The District operates the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center (the 'Center').
A Trustee's duties include: representing the citizens of the District, setting policy, approving budgets, reviewing expenditures, attending Trustee training sessions and Board meetings, approving contracts and agreements, and setting fees and rates.
District Trustee Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen, registered voter and resident of the District.
Must be able to give, at the expense of the District, a bond for the faithful performance of the member's duties.
Persons interested in becoming candidates for the Board of Trustees must file a 'Declaration of Candidacy' form. This form can be obtained and filed with an Election Clerk at the Center located at 5624 S. Cougar Ln. (4800 W.); Kearns, Utah. The filing period is from Thursday, June 1 thru Wednesday, June 7, 2023 on weekdays during normal business hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
