Meeting Minutes SANPETE CONSERVATION DISTRICT Monday, March 13, 2022 Time: 11:00 A.M. EPHRIAM CITY HALL -Basement LOCATION: Ephraim, Utah ATTENDANCE: SURPERVISORS: Mike Larson, Scott Sunderland, Thomas Blackham and Scott Mower CLERK: Magen Pike Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF): Tracy Balch Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS): Wade Ingrume SUMMERY OF DISTRICT ACTIONS A) A motion to approve minutes from January 22, 2022. Pg. 1 B) A motion to approve meeting agenda for March 13, 2023. Pg. 1 C) A motion was made to bring any outstanding bills forward. Pg. 1 D) A motion was made to approve any outstanding bills to be paid. Pg. 1 E) A motion was made to adjourned the Sanpete CD meeting. Pg. 2 SANPETE CD MEETING - CALL TO ORDER Mike Larson called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m. Meeting Minutes: a) Approve of current agenda March 13, 2023. A motion was made by Scott Sunderland to approve, second by Thomas Blackham. Unanimous Approval. b) Approve of meeting minutes January 23, 2023 and ratify meeting minutes for February 22, 2023. A motion was made by Scott Sunderland to approve, second by Scott Mower. Unanimous Approval. Financial Business: a) A motion was made by Scott Sunderland and second by Scott Mower to bring any outstanding bills/invoices before the board for consideration and discussion. b) A motion made to pay CD Clerk for November at $250. c) Zone 4 meeting expense invoice for $ 91.77 d) A motion was made by Thomas Blackham and second by Scott Sunderland to pay all outstanding bills. Board Business: Board Members a) A motion was made by Scott Mower and Thomas Blackham second, to approve and sign an application to the UCC for certificate change. b) Discussed the developing a long range plan. c) Entity certification with address and entity established date to present to the UCC. d) Central Utah Water Conservation District meeting April 4th, 2023. UDAF Business: Tracy Balch a) UACD conservation award to Leopold. b) A motion to use SERA funds for Zone Meeting, made by Scott Mower and second by Scott Sunderland. Watershed Business: a) Nonpoint source program application and 319 funding. b) Community Watershed meeting once every three months. c) So far, the watershed program has 5 working Sanpitch projects in the works. ARDL Business: JP Contreras a) 2 million dollars has been approved for EQUIP grants. b) Soil health program have funds to spend if persons qualify. NRCS Business: Wade a) Climate Smart Agriculture a. First round of applicants has been approved. b. Need to spend $360,000 time to apply is due March. c. Sanpete has 16 applicants currently. d. AMA 61 applicates in Sanpete Other Business: a) Jason Krabes is the new Conservation District planner. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting made by Scott Mower and second by Scott Sunderland meeting at 1:15 p.m. The next Sanpete CD meeting will be April 16, 2023 at 11:00 am.
