Advertisement for Bid GRANT AVE., 38TH STREET, AND KIESEL AVE. RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT South Ogden City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Office of South Ogden City, 3950 South Adams Avenue, South Ogden, Utah 84403, until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, for the Grant Ave., 38th Street, and Kiesel Ave. Reconstruction Project for South Ogden City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Install approximately 1490 feet of 8' dia. culinary waterline and reconstruct approximately 53,000 sq. ft. of roadway. The new waterline will replace the aging waterline within existing streets. The waterline replacement work includes pipe, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, water services, testing, disinfection, and associated work as indicated in the contract documents. Roadway reconstruction will include excavation and full-depth replacement of the structural pavement (4' thick HMA/10' thick UTBC). Sections of curb & gutter, sidewalk, and drive approaches will be replaced and added. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located near 38th and Grant Avenue, South Ogden City. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the contract documents shall be completed within 60 days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the aforementioned office of South Ogden City. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents may be obtained upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee to the office of Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering, 1150 South Depot Drive, Suite 225, Ogden, Utah 84404. Bid documents will be available online at https://www.wasatchcivil.com. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to South Ogden City Corporation as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will secure insurance, performance bond, payment bond, and promptly execute the Contract. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions concerning this project shall be directed to the Project Engineer. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: South Ogden City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the City.
