A. County FanFest, Colin Winchester
A committee from the County, including two council members, the County Executive team, and a County Attorney, has been negotiating a contract to continue Country Fan Fest at the Deseret Peak Complex. The goal is to benefit tourism in Tooele County. The proposed agreement has been presented to the council for approval.

B. RFP and Contract Approval for Whiplash Racing Demolition Derby, Colin Winchester
A public RFP was issued for a Demolition Derby to be hosted during the upcoming County Fair, to which Whiplash Racing submitted the sole proposal. We now seek the council's approval of both the RFP and the ensuing Contract for this eagerly anticipated event.

A. Amending the County Code Regarding Procurement Policies, Colin Winchester Ordinance 13
Due to rising costs of goods and services, the county is in the process of creating and adopting comprehensive purchasing policies. There are certain changes that the Council desires to immediately implement as stated in the ordinance.

A. Tourism Tax Advisory Board Recommendations Tabled Applications were:
Otters and Others Zoo & Conservation-
The applicant requested $3,000 in promotion and $8,000 in Capital Improvements. The Tourism board recommended $3,000 in promotion.
Utah Motor Sports Campus-
The applicant requested $100,000 in promotion and $500,000 in Capital Improvements. The Tourism board recommended $70,000 in promotion and $50,000 in Capital Improvements.
B. Purchase of 5 Acres of Property on Silver Ave Near Stockton - PUBLIC HEARING
Tooele County is set to buy 5 acres of land from South Rim, LLC in the Stockton area of Utah. The proposed purchase price is $280,000, and an additional $32,000 will cover 2 acre- feet of water and connection to a culinary water system. The land faces north and fronts Silver Ave, and will be separated from a larger parcel identified as 06-024-0-0017. A public hearing is scheduled for May 2, 2023, and the deal cannot be finalized until after that date or 14 days after public disclosure.
