Description/Agenda: Town of Mantua Notice of Open Municipal Offices for the 2023 Election The Town of Mantua will have two 4-year Council Member seats open for this year's General Election on November 7, 2023. A Primary Election, if needed, will be held on August 15, 2023 Candidate Filing Period beginning June 1 and ending June 7, 2023, from 9 am-1 pm Thursday through Wednesday (1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th). Wednesday, June 7 someone will available from 8 am to 5 pm at Town Hall, or email us at townrecorder@mantuautah.org to make an appointment during these dates. The Declaration of Candidacy forms must be filed in person with the Town Recorder at 409 North Main St. Mantua, Utah. There is no filing fee, and candidate qualifications are as follows: - Must be a registered voter in the Town of Mantua. - Must have resided in the Town of Mantua for the 12 consecutive months preceding the date of the election. - Cannot have been convicted of a felony, treason, or crime relating to elections - Cannot have been declared mentally incompetent.
