open, if he can connect into our secondary line to have the irrigation water at his residence. Mr. Hansen plans to

Agenda Item #11 Mario Gonzalez - 300 North Sewer Line
Mario Gonzalez attended tonight's meeting to talk about the replacement of a sewer lateral vs if it would make more sense to run 355 feet of new sewer line to encompass the entire block. If the sewer lateral is replaced, it will only help one property. If the city adds, it will help the inside properties as well as be utilized for future development in the area. Councilmember Zauss asked what the cost would be for the replacement of the lateral. Mr. Gonzalez said it would be

around $7,800 just for installation. There would also be charges for removal and replacement of the curb and gutter. Also, for excavation and repairs. Mayor Timothy expressed that he had already been in contact with the county and has secured some sandbags. However, we will need volunteers to help fill the sandbags. Mayor Timothy would also like June Rich to order one more 'Road Closed' sign, that way we have an even number in case the city needs to shut down roads.
Motion:

Motion:
Agenda Item #16 Residents with secondary water only
Nicole had some questions brought up to her about how residents with annual billings and that process went about.
Nicole needs to know who to bill as there is not a report or any way to find that. Council is also unsure on how to find
these folks. This topic was discussed, but there wasn't a solid answer for her.
Motion:

Agenda Item #17 Headstone Marking Process
With the new headstone marking fee being introduced with Resolution 2022-09, city treasurer Nicole Oveson wanted to double check with the city council on how they would like to see the process go. Agenda Item #18 Police Department/City Offices
Rebecca Evans was able to chat with the insurance company about what kind of coverage there was for the roof. Councilmember Perea is looking into other options and grants to help solve the problem.
Motion:
Agenda Item #19 Unfinished Business
Barry Horsley attended tonight's meeting to discuss radios that are utilized by the city's first responders. These new
radios will have a trunking system which means that the radio will automatically find the best tower. The radios usually
run around $4,000 to $5,000 a piece, but with ARPA it goes down to $600 to $800 a piece. With that in play, funding for
these radios will end in June.
Motion: Councilmember Zauss made a motion to get five mobile radios and seven handheld radios. Councilmember Perea seconded the motion; followed by Councilmember Nelson.
