- Persons seeking to become a candidate for a municipal office in Manti City shall file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the City Recorder during office hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday) in the Manti City office, 50 South Main Street, June 1, 2023 thru June 7, 2023. Three (3) positions of the Manti City Council will be open for election this year. Candidates must meet the qualifications of Utah Code Section 10-3-301 and 20A-9-203: - Be a registered voter. - A resident of the municipality (Manti City) or a resident of a recently annexed area for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of election. - Maintain a principal place of residence within the municipality and within the district that the elected officer represents, during the officer's term of office. - Not convicted of a felony, convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise, unless their right to hold elective office has been restored. - Cannot have been declared mentally incompetent.
