INVITATION TO BID
1.1 CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
A. Bidders are invited to bid on the Construction Contract known as 2023 Holladay Mill &
Overlay Project.
B. The location of the work is: City of Holladay Utah
C. The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: resurfacing and
paving of local streets within Holladay.
1.2 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
A. Email questions to Jared Bunch, P.E., Public Services Director at jbunch@cityofholladay.com
B. All questions to be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023.
1.3 BIDS
A. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Holladay City Hall, 4580 S 2300 E, Holladay, Utah 84117, at which time and place all bids will be
publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after 2:00 p.m., as conclusively established by the clock at the Bid opening location, will not be accepted.
B. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bid Bond will be returned to each
unsuccessful Bidder after tabulation and award of the Construction Contract.
C. Submit all documents listed in Document 00 21 13 Instructions to Bidders, Section 2.6.
1.4 BASIS OF BIDS
A. Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis. Unsealed or segregated Bids will not be accepted.
B. Bids shall be evaluated based on lowest amount that meet the minimum requirements in Document 00 21 13 Instruction to Bidders, Part 3.
1.5 CONTRACT TIME
A. The Work will be Substantially Complete by November 20, 2023 or 45 calendar days after the day pavement was laid, whichever comes first.
B. Raising and cleaning of valves, manholes, and monuments are to be complete within 21 calendar days after the last day pavement was laid.
