Meeting Minutes SANPETE CONSERVATION DISTRICT Monday, January 25, 2022 Time: 11:00 A.M. EPHRIAM CITY HALL -Basement LOCATION: Ephraim, Utah ATTENDANCE: SURPERVISORS: Scott Sunderland and Scott Mower CLERK: Magen Pike Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF): Tracy Balch Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS): Wade Ingrume SUMMERY OF DISTRICT ACTIONS A) A motion to approve minutes from December 17, 2022. Pg. 1 B) A motion to approve meeting agenda for January 22, 2023. Pg. 1 C) A motion was made to bring any outstanding bills forward. Pg. 1 D) A motion was made to approve any outstanding bills to be paid. Pg. 1 E) A motion was made to adjourned the Sanpete CD meeting. Pg. 2 SANPETE CD MEETING - CALL TO ORDER Chairman Scott Sunderland called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m. Meeting Minutes: a) Approve of current agenda January 25, 2023. A motion was made by Scott Sunderland to approve, second by Scott Mower. Unanimous Approval. Financial Business: a) A motion was made by Scott Sunderland and second by Scott Mower to bring any outstanding bills/invoices before the board for consideration and discussion. b) A motion made to pay CD Clerk for November at $250. c) A motion was made by Scott Sunderland and second by Bruce Christensen to pay all outstanding bills. Board Business: Board Members a) Upcoming projects to purchase land for equipment to be stored. b) Next meeting will be after the Local Work Group Meeting. UDAF Business: Tracy Balch a) Local Work Meeting in Richfield at 10am. b) UDAF free soil health assessment www.utahsoilhealth.org c) State Water Optimization planning coming up. a. Well meter billing measurements. b. Water share c. Seasonal water rights Watershed Business: a) No Water optimization program updates and applications at this time. b) Sanpitch meetings time and date was discussed. ARDL Business: JP Contreras a) Looking for a new employee to help with applications of grants and loans. b) Conservation Districts are expected to have more funds next year to allocate for new and current projects. Employee work force is staying the same to process applications. NRCS Business: Wade a) 12 current projects b) At the Local Work Group meeting discuss money allocation. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting made by Scott Sunderland and second by Scott Mower meeting at 12:15 p.m. The next Sanpete CD meeting will be February 22, 2023 at 11:15 am.
