Agenda Museum of the San Rafael Board Meeting County Administrative Building Box Rm 75 East Main St. Castle Dale, Utah Tuesday, February 28, 2023, 6 PM In Attendance: Conducting and Welcome: Chairman Randy Jensen 1. Approval of Minutes: October 2022 and January 2023. 2. Discuss/Approve/Deny: Vote in a new Vice Chairperson. 3. Discuss/Approve/Deny: Plaque for Dixon Peacock. Dallas has volunteered to get the plaque made. The museum has funding for it and we have a blank wall for it. 4. Discuss/Approve/Deny: Discuss Mammoth Display. 5. Suzanne Anderson and staff introduction. 6. Discuss/Approve/Deny: Green River Rocks Festival. We would like to attend this event and hand out flyers for the museum and some free admission tickets on April 1st. Free admission for History and Archaeology Month on May 6th, and free admission tickets for Suzanne Anderson's event to be held on a future date. a. Maintenance: Kyle is on Vacation but we did discuss garbage issues and snow removal. b. Visitation: 2023 - 163 2022 - 130 c. Events: EmCo Paranormal Con - we are looking for speakers. d. Marketing: It appears that the brochure was sent somewhere to be printed because the rack card money was used to pay for it, but we have been unable to find who. Tiffani will call Adriana and see if she is willing to help. e. General: We need two Board Members. Tiffani has put in for the advertising. Museum Board members serve a 4-year term. f. Collections: Glen and Sylvia Nelson Native American Collection (gift), Mining belt with Earl Snow's name donated by Lori Ann Larsen(gift). WWI (gift) and WWII Guns donated by Reid Black in November (Kent Wilson gave permission to accept these items on November 11, 2022), Two rotary phones, and one of the first car cell phones ever made for our kid's area donated by Reid Black. g. Any other business that can properly come before the Board. 7. Adjourn - NEXT MUSEUM MEETING March 28, @ 6:00 PM Council - Lori Ann Larsen, Talma Peacock, Dawnette Tuttle, Keven Jensen, Dallas Truman, Randy Jensen, Clifford Oviatt Staff -Shannon Hiatt (Interim Director), Tiffani Baker, and AnnDee Mead
