The Magna Metro Township wishes to contract the services of an individual or company to construct
the new sign for the Pleasant Green Cemetery.
PLEASANT GREEN CEMETERY SIGN
The Magna Metro Township has approved a sign design for the Pleasant Green Cemetery. The objective
of this request for proposal is to provide the Municipality with a qualified individual or company
to construct the new sign for the Pleasant Green Cemetery.

Submissions received after this date and time will not be considered.
The Municipality reserves the right to cancel this request for proposal for any reason without any
liability to any proponent or to waive irregularities at its own discretion.
Proposals will be irrevocable until the Municipality awards the contract or cancels this request
for proposals, whichever occurs first.
Any interpretation of, additions to, deletions from, or any other corrections to the proposal
document will be issued as written addendum by the Municipality.

HISTORY OF CEMETERY
The Pleasant Green Cemetery is a historic pioneer cemetery with burials dating back to 1883. It is
a non- perpetual care cemetery at the base of the Oquirrh mountains. In the early years it was
managed by the LDS Church and later on by private individuals, until the Magna Metro Township took
ownership in 2020. The cemetery sits on 11 acres of land and still has plots available for sale.
There is limited water and vegetation but has a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Valley.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Magna Metro Township issued an RFP for the design of the sign for the Pleasant Green Cemetery
in 2022. A copy of the approved sign design is attached. The construction of this sign shall be to
the approved standards written in the design proposal to include:
- Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary for the construction
of the approved sign.
- Work also includes and is not limited to design reviews, demolition and removal of existing
structures, alterations, clearing, grubbing, cut and fill, earth work, grading, and building
construction.
- Contractor shall secure all necessary permits
- Contractor shall coordinate with cemetery staff for all construction work to avoid or minimize
any interruption of cemetery functions.
- Contractor shall provide weekly progress summary to the Magna Mayor.
- Contractor shall provide a certificate of warranty for material supplied and workmanship for a
minimum of one year from the date of acceptance.
- Contractor shall perform daily cleanup and final cleanup.
- Contractor shall dispose of all waste materials properly off site.
- Protect existing roads and undisturbed infrastructures and environments, and
- Repair and restore all damages to be as good as the original conditions or better due to
construction activities.
- The anticipated dedication of the new sign is Memorial Day.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
RFP's will be evaluated to determine the best value offered to the municipality and the most
desirable sign
design for the cemetery as determined by the Magna Metro Township.
