Description/Agenda

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has prepared a draft State Management Plan (SMP) outlining the policies and procedures of its Rural Public Transit program. UDOT is responsible for administering the following Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) programs of Title 49 USC relating to rural public transit: - 5304 - Statewide Planning - 5310 - Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Persons with Disabilities - 5311 - Formula Grants for Rural Areas - 5339 - Bus and Bus Facilities The draft SMP can be viewed on the RPT webpage, https://udot.utah.gov/connect/business/public-entities/rural-public-transit-team/ under the Notices section. A public comment period will be open from February 20 through March 22, 2023. Comments may be submitted: - Online at: https://udot.utah.gov/connect/business/public-entities/rural-public-transit-team/ - Emailed to publictransit@utah.gov - Mailed to Rural Public Transit 4501 South 2700 West Box 43600 SLC, UT 84114-3600 - Virtual open house Wednesday, March 15 from 4-5 pm, MST. The open house will consist of a five (5) minute presentation followed by a ten (10) minute question and answer period. This will repeat four (4) times throughout the hour.
