MAYOR UPDATES: The Mayor is unable to attend the February 2, meeting because of work and would like to change it to January 30, or February 6. Doug motioned to change the meeting to Monday February 6. Marty seconded the motion.
It is required for the council to complete the Open and Public Meeting Councilman Training each year for the yearling Agreed Upon Producers audit. Troy, Marty, Mike, and Jared read through the training. Doug said he had read it before, but not this year. He said he would.
Charles Billingsley called and said because of the snow he was going to wait to check the Hatch house. He will wait for it to melt so he can see if anything has been cleaned up.
WATER: Chett from Whites Sanitation came to schedule our yearly town clean up. It will be on April 21-May 1st. He also wanted to know if there were any concerns or items he needed to know about. He asked us to remind our customers to bring their garbage out to the road so the garbage truck doesn't have to drive on the shoulder of the road and damage it, or get stuck in the mud.
Marty, Troy, and Steve will be attending the Rural Water Convention in St. George. The mine will register Marty.
Steve had to order new batteries for the chlorinator building when the solar panels weren't charging.
Nikole and Haley were able to get ahold of Steven Hansen with Itron finally. The equipment the town ordered is back ordered. We can order the new software and have support. The mayor wonders if we should order whole new meters. The guys will check out new software and programs down at RWUA to see what our options are.
PARK: Doug talked with Jody Gail. He is the arborist for the state. He said right now is the wrong time of year to do anything, but he will come and help us decide the best thing for them. He said not to hire a tree butcher. Not everyone with a license is an arborist.
MISCELLANEOUS: Ken Alder requested the town remove the willows by his turn. Steve knocked them down. When it gets warmer they'll go over them with the bush hog and then poison them.
Marty motioned to adjourn, Doug seconded the motion. All were in favor
