The Administrative Hearing for the Salt Lake City Planning Division was held remotely on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Mayara Lima, Zoning Administrator, was present as the Administrative Hearing Officer and called the meeting to order. Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing Officer reviewed the hearing procedures including the boundaries of her duties. She then introduced the first conditional use request that was to be reviewed. 1. Level Crossing Brewing Company at approximately 550 South 300 West - A request from Level Crossing Brewing Company to operate a bar establishment at approximately 550 South 300 West The subject property is located in the D-2 (Downtown Support) zoning district and is located in Council District 4, represented by Ana Valdemoros. (Staff contact: Andy Hulka at (801)535-6608 or andy.hulka@slcgov.com). Case number PLNPCM2022-01019 Andy Hulka reviewed the petition as outlined in the Staff Report (located in the case file). The applicant stated that they are looking to expand as they already operate two other locations. Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing officer opened the public hearing. Seeing no one wished to speak, Mayara Lima closed the public hearing. Motion Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing officer stated, 'Based on the information in the staff report, the information presented, and the input received during the public hearing, I approve petition PLNPCM2022-01019 and grant a conditional use permit for a bar establishment at approximately 550 S. 300 West with the conditions listed in the staff report.' 2. Conditional Use at approximately 615 North 400 West - Lexie Reder, the lessee of the property, is requesting Conditional Use approval for a bar establishment at 615 North 400 West, in the M-1 Light Manufacturing District. The site of the proposed use is developed, with an existing building and parking area. No additions to the building or modifications to the site are proposed. The property is located in Council District 3, represented by Chris Wharton. (Staff contact: Rylee Hall at 801-535-6308 or rylee.hall@slcgov.com). Case number PLNPCM2022-01012 Rylee Hall reviewed the petition as outlined in the Staff Report (located in the case file). Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing officer asked for clarification on the use of the property. The applicant stated its use would be for a bar. Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing officer opened the public hearing. Seeing no one wished to speak, Mayara Lima closed the public hearing. Motion Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing officer stated, 'Based on the information presented and discussion, I move that the Administrative Hearing Officer approve this application based on Staff's recommendation.' There being no further business, the Administrative Hearing was adjourned at approximately 5:14 PM.
