Scofield Town P&Z Public Hearing Feb. 4, 2023 at 9:00 am To hear public comment regarding the following proposed Ordinance amendments. Call to Order Roll Call 1. Amend Ordinance 3-11 Bed and Breakfast Inns to include Short Term Rentals. Ordinance will outline regulation and permitting requirements. Additionally, A. a definition of Short Term Rental to be added to definitions. B. Amend Ordinance 5-1 Uses of Land Table 2 item #6 Bed and Breakfast Inns to include Short Term Rental. 2. Amend Ordinance 3-6.4 Area of Accessory Buildings to include both area and set back of accessory buildings and add Storage/Shipping Containers. Ordinance will outline area allowances on a lot, set back for accessory buildings, and regulations in the residential zone. Additionally, A. a definition of Storage/Shipping Container to be added to definitions. B. Amend Ordinance 5-1 Used of Land Table 2 item # 126 Storage Warehouse to include Shipping/Storage Containers with a maximum length of 20 feet (under 200 square feet total) and meeting regulations to be allowed in the residential zone. C. Amend Table 4 Required Lot Features and Dimensions to include accessory building shall not have a floor area which exceeds the lesser of 30% of the total rear yard area or two thousand (2,000) square feet. D. Amend Table 4 Required Lot Features and Dimensions to include dwelling or accessory building minimum set back from any lot line abutting street. E. Amend Table 4 Required Lot Features and Dimensions to include minimum set back requirements for accessory buildings meeting regulations. F. Amend Ordinance 3-6.6 Storage of Junk and Debris Prohibited to include: d. Storage/Shipping Containers that do not meet regulations of the Town Code. 3. Amend Ordinance 5-3.6 Additional Requirements to include Storage/Shipping Containers: add an item E. outlining number and size allowances and regulations in the commercial zone. Additionally, Amend Ordinance 5-1 Uses of Land Table 2 to include item #144 Storage/Shipping Container with a maximum length of 40 feet and meeting regulations to be allowed in the commercial zone. 4. Amend Ordinance 5-2.4 Location Requirements to include set back from lot line requirements for accessory buildings according to applicable requirements shown in Table 4. Adjourn
