Notice is hereby given that the Syracuse City Disaster Preparedness Committee will participate in a meeting on Thursday January 26, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the large conference room of the Municipal Building, 1979 W. 1900 S., Syracuse City, Davis County, Utah. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss/review the following items:

Syracuse Connection Magazine articles:
1. Article for February issue will be written by Jen Eagle and will be reviewed in December meeting
2. Article for March issue - about Disaster Preparedness Exercise written by Dan
3. Article for April issue written by Brigham to be review in January meeting. Topic will be The Great Shake Out and continuation of RDAP emphasis
4. Article for May issue written by Duane to be review in February meeting - topic TBA
5. Article for June issue written by Patrick to be review in March meeting - topic TBA
Committee Business:
1. West District replacement
2. New rep for Fremont District.
3. New District boundaries - How do we get maps?
4. CERT Class Update - combining with other cities?
5. RDAP Class Update
6. EOC update
7. Teaching CERT class at Syracuse High
8. Approval of city letter to be distributed by area reps and included in new move in welcome packet.
Action Item Update:
1. 2023 Disaster Preparedness Exercise discussion. Exercise will focus on RDAP training.
A. Get citizens to watch an RDAP training video.
B. Duane to report on finishing the video they were making so we could have our own.
C. Make it a preparedness week to give people more time to watch video
D. Put reminders to watch video in Magazine
E. Ask the Mayor to promote watching the video as well
F. Highly publicized by District and Area leaders
2. North Davis E. Prep Fair on 3rd Saturday of September on the odd years.
A. Big, worthwhile commitment
B. Involve other Cities
C. Combine with Fausetts?
3. Transition of committee officers
