- PUBLIC OFFICIALS TRAINING SESSION OFFICIALS FROM THE TOWNS OF SPRINGDALE, ROCKVILLE, AND VIRGINWILL ATTEND A JOINT TRAINING SESSION ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2023, AT 9:30 AM AT THE CANYON COMMUNITY CENTER, LOCATED AT 126 LION BOULEVARD, SPRINGDALE, UTAH NO ACTIONS WILL BE TAKEN BY ANY OF THE PUBLIC BODY PARTICIPANTS 9:30 am - Welcome & Introductions 10:00 am - Recent Trends and Updates in Land Use Law Jami Brackin, Deputy City Attorney, Saint George 11:00 am - Utah Municipal Ethics Act for Town Council and Planning Commission Heath Snow, Municipal Town Attorney, Virgin 12:00 pm - Fraud Risk Training Dawn Brecke, Human Resources Director/Town Treasurer, Town of Springdale 12:30 pm - Lunch 1:15 pm - Open and Public Meetings Act (OPMA) training Tyler Romeril, City Attorney, Cedar City Session times are approximate. We anticipate the training to last about four hours. A light breakfast, as well as lunch, will be provided for everyone to enjoy. Please bring your own beverage. **The public is invited to attend. However, non-official attendees must plan for their own lunch.
