NOTICE OF CERTIFIED ANNEXATION PETITION Pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 10-2-406, the City of Bluffdale (“City”) hereby gives notice that a petition for annexation has been filed with the City proposing the annexation of area to the City. On August 5, 2011, the Bluffdale City Council received notice that the petition had been certified pursuant to Utah Code Ann. § 10-2-405(2)(c)(i). The area proposed to be annexed to the City is described as follows: COMMENCING AT THE CORNER COMMON WITH SECTIONS 33 AND 34. TOWNSHIP 4 SOUTH, AND WITH SECTIONS 3 & 4, TOWNSHIP 5 SOUTH, RANGE 1 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MEIDIAN, AND RUNNING THENCE, N89°51°36"E, ALONG THE SECTION LINE COMMON WITH SECTIONS 3 AND 34, A DISTANCE OF 1176.99 FEET TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE “UTAH DATA CENTER” PROPERTY AS SHOWN ON THAT CERTAIN A.L.T.A. CONTAINS 502.76 ACRES, MORE OR LESS. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the City Recorder, 14350 South 2200 West, Bluffdale, Utah 84065. The City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless by 5 pm on September 6, 2011, a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Utah County Boundary Commission, 100 East Center Street, # 1300, Provo, Utah 84606, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the City Recorder at 14350 South 2200 West, Bluffdale, Utah 84065. A protest to the annexation petition may be filed with the Boundary Commission if it contains the signatures of the owners of private real property that is located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation, covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation, and is equal in value to at least 15% of all the real property located in the unincorporated area within ½ mile of the area proposed for annexation.
