2023 Observed Holidays and Facility Closures for the Solid Waste Special Service District #1
Solid Waste Special Service District #1 d/b/a Canyonlands Solid Waste Authority (CSWA) will observe the following holidays in 2023. CSWA manages the operations of the Moab Landfill, Klondike Landfill, Canyonlands Transfer Station, and the Community Recycle Center.
With the exception of the Canyonlands Transfer Station, all CSWA facilities will be closed on the dates indicated below. The Canyonlands Transfer Station will be closed on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, but will typically be open from 8am until 12pm on the additional below-listed holidays that occur on or between Monday and Friday.
Routine garbage and recycling collection services will continue on all actual and observed holidays, where applicable, with the exception of the following; all services will be suspended on New Year's Day (January 1, 2024), and Christmas Day (December 25, 2023). Route collections will occur one-day later during the remainder of the week subsequent to these days that occur on or between Monday and Friday.
Roll-off delivery and hauling services are typically only offered from Monday through Friday. Roll-off delivery and hauling services will typically be unavailable during the below-listed dates.
