Wellington City Council Minutes Meeting held November 22, 2022 at Wellington City Hall Located at 150 West Main Street, Wellington, Utah at 6:00 P.M. Present: Mayor Brad Timothy, Councilmember Bethany Perea, Councilmember Barney Zauss, Councilmember Caleb Nelson Absent: Councilmember Glen Wells, Councilmember Jack Clark City Staff: Rebecca Evans, Nicole Oveson, Chief Tom Kosmack Attendees: Jayden Tonc, Chief Matt Perea, Brandi Davis Agenda Item #1 Public Comment Period Agenda Item #2 Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call, and Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes At 6:00 pm Mayor Timothy opened the meeting up stating that Councilmember Wells and Councilmember Clark were absent. Motion: Councilmember Zauss made a motion to approve the past meeting minutes. Councilmember Perea seconded the motion and the rest of the Council then followed in order. Agenda Item #3 Employee Status Change - Jayden Tonc as probationary firefighter Fire Chief Matt Perea mentioned that Mr. Tonc is an excellent candidate for probationary firefighter. After six months of probation, Mr. Tonc's performance will be reviewed and will be determined if he is moved to full-time volunteer firefighter. Motion: Councilmember Perea made a motion to approve having Mr. Tonc be a Wellington City probationary Firefighter. Councilmember Nelson seconded the motion and the rest of the Council then followed in order. Agenda Item #4 Discussion of responsibilities of delinquent bills renter/landlord Councilmember Perea would like to review the city's current policy on whether or not the landlord is responsible for the a delinquent bill if a tenant leaves the residence without paying. Motion: Adjourn Motion: Councilmember Perea made a motion to close this session of the City Council. Councilmember Nelson seconded. The rest of the Council then followed in order. Meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm Next meeting will be December 8, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. at the Wellington City Hall.
