NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Regular Administrative Control Board Meeting, 2023 Proposed Budget, and Proposed 2023 Fee Schedule Approvals Solid Waste District, 07 December 2022 - PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Administrative Control Board of the Solid Waste Special Service District #1 (District) will hold a Public Hearing beginning at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, during its Regular Board Meeting. Consistent with provisions of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act, Utah Code Ann. §54-2-207(4), this will be an Electronic Meeting with the County Commission Chamber as the Anchor Location. The Grand County Commission Chambers are located at 125 E Center St, Moab, UT 84532. Masks are encouraged for in-person attendees. Electronic participation in the Public Hearing is available via Zoom at: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81443447357?pwd=dTRVU0k4SmRaV3RZcDViTGhnc0UwZz09. The public is invited and encouraged to view this meeting, which will be streamed live on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQvZRosmlr80RZPUW-fkJ2A (SEARCH YOUTUBE FOR 'Canyonlands Solid Waste Authority'). The Regular Board meeting will begin at 5:00 pm. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input on (1) the District's proposed 2023 budget, and (2) the proposed Fee Schedule amendments. While several of the fees for the District's services will remain the same, some increases to the District's Fee Schedules are proposed. Fee Schedule changes are proposed to normalize, clarify, and adjust fee items that reflect the District's associated operating costs and support its enterprise fund. The purpose of the public hearing will be to hear comments regarding the aforementioned items. The proposed 2023 Budget and 2023 Fee Schedules will be available after December 7, 2022 to download from the District's website here: https://swssd1.org/board-meetings-and-financials/2022-agendas-and-minutes/ and at the District office located at 2295 S.
