City staff is proposing amendments to the Payson City Annexation Policy Plan adopted by the Payson City Council on November 7, 2018. The Annexation Policy Plan is intended to provide guidance to the city council with decisions related to future annexations and development. It is proposed that the plan be updated for compliance with Utah Code and to reflect the current annexation and development priorities of the city, including changes to future expansion areas. A copy of the proposed Annexation Policy Plan can be obtained from staff as indicated below. This is a multiple step process that provides ample opportunity for affected entities and the public to participate. A public meeting was conducted in October 2022, a comment period was provided for affected entities, and a public hearing was held with the planning commission earlier this month (November 2022). The Payson City Council will conduct a final public hearing on Wednesday December 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Payson City Center. You may participate in person, as well as virtually through a link with Zoom Video Communications. Please check the Payson City Website at www.paysonutah.org for the link to participate and/or view the meeting. It is anticipated that the city council will make a decision regarding the proposed amendments during the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting you may respond by letter: Attn.
