- ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID LAYTON CITY CORPORATION will accept separate sealed bids for the 'SECONDARY WATER METERING PROJECT 22-22'. The project includes the installation of 2,380 secondary water meter enclosures (boxes), required piping and fittings, and site restoration on existing secondary water connections located in both front and back yards to provide for a fully functioning system. The City will purchase, furnish, and install secondary water meters separately. The bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through www.questcdn.com until 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at which time all bids will be virtually opened using VirtuBid. The bidder will also be required to submit proof of a 5% bid bond to www.questcdn.com to successfully submit a bid. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A mandatory Pre-Bid conference for the project will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Layton City Offices Engineering Department located at 437 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton, Utah 84041. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and meet prequalification requirements. Project bidding documents are available at www.questcdn.com (Quest project # 8335962) or http://www.laytoncity.org/LC/City/Bids. Documents may be viewed at no cost and downloaded for $30.00. Please contact Layton City at 801-336-3700 if you have any questions. Contractors shall submit the Contractor's Qualification Statement available at the questcdn.com website, under the Q & A sections, to be reviewed by the City prior to December 6, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Upon Layton City approval, contractors will be granted access to VirtuBid. Bidders cannot access the online bidding facility until they are approved on the plan holder list by the City. Layton City reserves the right to approve or deny bidders based upon similar project experience. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and meet prequalification requirements.
