Town Council Meeting October 13, 2022
The regular meeting of the Cleveland Town council was held at the public safety building located at 130 W Main in Cleveland, Utah, on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 7:00 pm. In attendance were: Mayor Trevor Rowley, Breann Cowley, and Preston Wilson on phone. Not in attendance was Brydi Sharp. Kristen Vose arrived at 7:35 pm.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Rowley followed by the pledge.
Minutes: Preston Wilson made a motion to approve the minutes for September 8, 2022 meeting with a second by Mayor Trevor Rowley. All in favor, motion passed, minutes approved.
Public comments:
Brennan Hallows: Concerns with Casey Jensen still using sidewalk for driveway. His wife, Rachel Hallows, took a picture of him pulling out just 10 sec before her son reached the area riding his bike. There needs to be something there to stop him from pulling out onto the road. Would like an update of what the town is doing since last month's meeting.
Boyd Griffin: When the letter is sent out, is there a time frame of when it's supposed to be done or when fines start? There are other kids walking on that sidewalk as well. Can Sherriff's Office put a deputy there when school gets out?
Vickie Rasmussen: Want Council to know that they are not trying to be a bad neighbor. Just concerned. It is an accident waiting to happen.
Preston Wilson: Asked if we could put a concrete barrier or fence?
Mayor Rowley's Responses: Attended Planning and Zoning and talked to Jim Jennings for the county to get information. A letter was sent to Mr. Jensen stating the 4 ordinance violations. As stated last month it is not a quick process. there is a 14-day time frame and then fines start to accrue. Will contact state about a barrier.
Terrill Rasmussen: Asked to have the Mayor sign a deed change for the property he bought from the city and have it notarized.
