Library Board Meeting Minutes Date: 10/27/2022 Time:7:00 pm Place: Library Conducted: Millie Smith (Chair) Also In Attendance Janelle Simmons (ViceChair) Ruth Morgan (Treasurer) Cassidy Nemelka (Board Member) Lisa Puga (Board Member) Mike Morgan (City Liaison) Jessie Eiman (Library Director) Agenda Timestamp: 00:00:00 Approve September Minutes Voting Result: approved Timestamp: 00:02:00 Director's Report Jessie reported on programs and upcoming events. She reached out to potential teen advisors. The 3D printer is calibrated. Jessie is researching credit card options to separate the Library and FoL Square Reader accounts. Borrower's support grant needs another signer. Ruth will sign. Dancing witches coming at 3:30 to perform for the Halloween party. Friends of the Mendon Library gave $6336.17 to help with operations. Wednesday hours will change to open at 10 to accommodate story time for toddlers who nap in the afternoon. Also, some patrons have requested open hours while kids are in school. Timestamp: 22.23 Millie: Heidi Taylor stepped down from the library board. We need to recruit a new board member and the secretary position. The position would start in January to finish Heidi's term, and the new term would start in July. Timestamp: 23:30 Items for next month's Agenda Action items: - Jessie will do more research on credit card options, give Ruth's name for grant signature, and recruit teen advisors. - Ruth will sign the Borrower's Support grant application.
