The Utah Board of Oil, Gas and Mining meets Wednesday, October 26 at 9 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources building at 1594 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. Division of Oil, Gas and Mining staff will conduct a Briefing Session at 9 a.m.: 1. Discussion of Board's Preferences for Proposed Rulemaking 2. Division's role in addressing the Lila Canyon Mine Fire 3. Other 4. Next Month's Agenda and Division Calendar 5. Opportunity for Public Comment The Board will hear the following Matters at or around 10 a.m.: 1. Docket No. 2022-015 Cause No. 132-04 - In the matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order partially vacating the order entered in Cause No. 139-96 insofar as it pertains to Section 18, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, USM, and instead pooling all interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River- Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 18 and 19, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (This matter was continued from the July 27, 2022, Board Hearing.) 2. Docket No. 2022-021 Cause No. 131-157 - The matter of the Request for Agency Action of BERRY PETROLEUM COMPANY, LLC for an order declaring that the Board's Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Order granting approval of unit operations and enhanced recovery and for certification as an enhanced recovery project in Cause No. 214-2, does not prohibit the drilling, completion, re-completion and deepening of wells below the Lower Green River Formation in the Antelope Creek Unit embracing portions of Townships 4 and 5 South, Ranges 3 and 4 West, USM, Duchesne County, Utah. 3. Docket No. 2022-022 Cause No. 130-13 - In the matter of the Amended Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order: (1) partially vacating the Board's order entered in Cause No. 214-02 insofar as it pertains to lots 1-4, N1/2S1/2, and NE1/4 of Section 32, Township 4 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M.; and (2) extending the Board's order entered in Cause No. 139-160 to establish stand-up (vertical) 1,280-acre (or substantially equivalent drilling units for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of Sections 29 and 32, and 30 and 31, respectively, of Township 4 South, Range 3 West, U.S.M., all in Duchesne County, Utah. 4. Docket No. 2022-023 Cause No. S0230094 - In the matter of Notice of Agency Action the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining requests an order forfeiting the surety bond surrounding the Eureka Rock Quarry and directing the Division to perform reclamation. 5. Docket No. 2022-024 Cause No. 471-02 - In the matter of the Request for Agency Action of HEAVY SWEET OIL, LLC and AC OIL, LLC for an order pursuant to Utah Adm. Code R. 649-5-1 approving enhanced oil recovery including four Class II injection wells for in situ production of oil from sands from the Rimrock and Asphalt Ridge deposits within 40-acre units, Township 4 South, Range 20 East, Sections 22 and 23, Uintah County, Utah.
