- PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that Garland City will be accepting applications for individuals wanting to be considered to fill a City Council interim vacancy. The appointment will begin on October 19, 2022, and will go through the first Wednesday of January 2024. Qualifications for consideration are that the applicant must be a United States Citizen, be a registered voter of the municipality, and be a resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment. Applications must be filed in person at the office of the City Recorder during regular office hours (M-F, 9 am-5 pm) and not later than 5 pm on Friday, October 14, 2022. Applicants will be interviewed by the City Council and one applicant will be appointed during the meeting to be held on October 19, 2022, at 7 pm at the Garland City Building, 72 North Main Street, Garland Utah.
