NOTICE KAMAS CITY WATER RATES On September 13, 2022, the Kamas City Council approved an increase in water rates and overage rates for Kamas City residents. The new base rate will be increased from $28 to $31 per month. This follows discussions concerning the financial status of the Kamas City water fund. After reviewing a study done by Rural Water Association of Utah experts, the City Council felt it necessary to approve this increase to maintain the financial stability of the water system. This increase becomes effective November 1, 2022. KAMAS CITY FEE AND RATE RESOLUTION - WATER FEES SECTION 2.4 MONTHLY WATER METERED SERVICE 2.4.1 WATER BASE CHARGE For water usage up to and including 15,000 gallons per month. The Water Base Charge is charged on all units receiving water service in Kamas City. All accessory type units or apartments on a common meter must be approved in advance by the City Council on new construction or new rentals/ conversions, and may require payment of additional base rate. Single Family Residential connections are limited to a maximum size of 3/4'. Meter Size Monthly Base/Demand Charge 3/4' $31.00/ERU All others Charge based on equivalent ERU Construction Meter Base monthly charge: Construction water will be charged at the regular rate 2.4.2 WATER CONSERVATION/OVERAGE RATES All water delivered through each meter serving customers in excess of 15,000 gallons per meter per month shall be billed at the following rates: Overage: Rate: 15,001 to 40,000 gallons $1.25 per 1,000 gallons 40,001 to 100,000 gallons $1.75 per 1,000 gallons 100,001 to 300,000 gallons $2.50 per 1,000 gallons 300,001 and above $3.25 per 1,000 gallons
