7. Officer reports and legislative oversight.
Our City took 1st place at the Weber County Fair, as well as the People's Choice Award. Many thanks to those who made this possible.
Mr. Slater asked Council members if they would be willing to hold a future work session to discuss roads, traffic and funding. One example is the semis who use GPS to get to the BDO, but the maps in the system do not reflect the correct information.
Pres. Illum said it would be possible to do this prior to a City Council Meeting. In regards to the above example he said we have attempted to solve this issue, but have not been successful. He pointed out that UDOT is a big part of the problem. One possible solution would be to impose a toll for all trucks. Everyone was agreeable to hold a work session sometime before the end of the year.
Mr. Smout is concerned about people riding recreational vehicles on the Slaterville Park lawn and would like to have clearer signs posted.
Pres. Illum said that the IRS has moved their fence to install a new one on 12th St and employees are now parking their cars along the road, in the Marriott Park parking lot, and on the baseball diamond.
8. Adjourn.
Being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:21 PM.
