PUBLIC NOTICE
CALL FOR SUBMITTAL OF ARGUMENTS For or Against the General Obligation Bond Election
The City Council of the City of Harrisville, Utah adopted a resolution providing for a Bond Election to be held in the
City on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City the question of
the issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $6,000,000 (the 'Bond Election') and calling a
public hearing (Sept. 13, 2022 7PM) to receive input from the public with respect to the issuance of general obligation
bonds and the potential economic impact that the project for which the bonds pay all or part of the cost will have on
the private sector, pursuant to the Section 11-14-318 of the Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended.
If approved by eligible voters at the Bond Election, the City intends to issue general obligation bonds for the purpose
of acquiring and constructing a recreational facility in the City.
Submittals for Arguments are being accepted in regard to this bond proposition and will be published in the
voter information pamphlet and on websites, see Resolution 22-20.
Eligible voters must submit a 'Notice of Intent to file an Argument' for or against the ballot proposition, by 5:00PM
Monday, September 5, 2022. Arguments are due by 5:00 PM, September 9th, 2022.
Submittals are limited to 500 words and must include the voters name, email address, residential address, and phone
number.
