Call to Order and Roll Call (President or Acting President) a. Recognize public officials present as needed 2. Approval of Minutes and Agenda (President or Acting President) 3. Public Comment Period1 (President or Acting President) 4. Action items review (Stacey Wright) 5. Parks and Recreation Committee involvement and support of the city budgeting process (by Mayor Larry Jacobson) Additional comments and discussion led by (President or Acting President) 6. Discussion and Consideration of preliminary findings from the recent 2022 USU Nibley City Wellness Survey. Discussion and Consideration of recommendations for staff and City Council regarding managing dog owner behavior at our parks, and the possibility of dog parks in Nibley (President or Acting President) 8. Discussion and Consideration of recommendations for staff and City Council regarding bike rack locations at major parks. City staff comments by Chad Wright and Rod Elwood. Additional comments and discussion led by (President or Acting President) 9. Morgan Farm update and discussion: Mike Christensen interest, assembly of a focus group for short term and long-term vision of the farm, timing of an RFP for a management contract. Information presented by city staff Chad Wright, additional comments and discussion led by (President or Acting President) 10. Discussion and Consideration of master plans related to Parks and Recreation facilities and amenities, including, development priority and recommendations for staff and City Council Consideration. Recommended updates to the existing Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and community support of a Parks and Recreation Bond initiative. (President or Acting President) 11. Committee member reports of community/public official interaction regarding Parks and Recreation and or other reports. (President or Acting President) 12. Discussion and Consideration of action Items, assignments moving forward (President or Acting President) 13. Next meeting will be Sept 28th (4th Wed) In compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities will be provided upon request. For assistance, please call (435) 752-0431. 1 Public input is welcomed at all Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Meetings. 15 minutes have been allotted to receive verbal public comment. Verbal comments shall be limited to 3 minutes per person. A sign-up sheet is available at the entrance of the meeting, starting 15 minutes prior to each committee meeting and at the facilitators table for the duration of the public comment period. Commenters shall identify themselves by name and address on the comment form and or verbally for inclusion in the record. Comment will be taken in the order shown on the sign-up sheet. Written comment will also be accepted and entered into the record for the meeting if received prior to the conclusion of the meeting. Comments determined by the presiding officer to be in violation of Committee meeting rules shall be ruled out of order.
