Description/Agenda: NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE Mount Pleasant City Library The Mount Pleasant City Library is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. - The Mount Pleasant City Library tax on a $402,000 residence would increase from $361.06 to $408.15, which is $47.09 per year. - The Mount Pleasant City Library tax on a $402,000 business would increase from $656.47 to $742.09, which is $85.62 per year. - If the proposed budget is approved, Mount Pleasant City Library would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 13.00% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase. PUBLIC HEARING Date/Time: 8/30/2022 6:00 pm Location: City Hall City Council Chambers 115 West Main Street Mt.
