PROVIDENCE CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA Wednesday August 17th, 2022, 6:00 PM Providence City Office Building, 164 North Gateway Drive, Providence UT Comments: The City Council accepts comments: in-person, by email, and by text. This meeting will live stream on Providence City's YouTube Channel. Opening Ceremony: Call to Order: Mayor Alder Roll Call of City Council Members: Mayor Alder Pledge of Allegiance: Opening Remarks/Prayer: Council Reports: Items presented by the City Council members will be presented as informational only; no formal action will be taken. Approval of the minutes: Item No. 1 Approval of the Minutes: The Providence City Council will consider for approval the minutes of July 20th, 2022 . Public Comments: Citizens may express their views to the City Council on issues within the City's jurisdiction. The City Council accepts comments: by email providencecityutah@gmail.com, and by text 435-752-9441. Presentations: Item No. 2 Housing Crisis Task Force: The Cache County Housing Crisis Task Force will present to the Council their report regarding the housing market. Public Hearings: Item No. 3 COG Grant Application - 200 W 300 S Intersection Improvements: Providence City Council will take comments and questions regarding the City's intent to apply for a COG grant for intersection improvements located in the general area of 200 W 300 S. Resolutions/Ordinances: Item No.___4_____Idle Free City Proclamation: Mayor Alder will present to the Council and the City a Proclamation declaring the City's intent to become an idle free City. Plans and Other Business: Item No.____5____ Providence City's Code Codification: The Providence City Council will review, discuss, and may take action on the current codification of the City's code. If approved the codified code will be open to comments for 30 days before final adoption by council. Item No. 6 Property Acquisitions: The Providence City Council will review, discuss, and may take action on moving forward with the process of purchasing some land properties for the City. Staff Reports: Items presented by Providence City Staff (including but not limited to: Public Works Director, Administrative Services Director, City Recorder, and City Manager) will be presented as information only. Executive Session Notice: The Providence City Council may enter into a closed session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation as allowed by Utah Code 52-4-205(1)(c). The Providence City Council may enter into a closed session to discuss professional competence or other factors allowed by Utah Code 52-4-205(1)(a). The Providence City Council may enter into a closed session to discuss land acquisition or the sale of real property Utah Code 52-4-205(1) (d) and (e).
