Notice of PUBLIC HEARINGS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following public hearings have been scheduled to be heard by the Clearfield Planning Commission at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022, and the Clearfield City Council at 7:00 pm on September 13th, 2022. The meetings will be held in the Council Chambers on the 3rd Floor of the City Municipal Center located at 55 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah 84015.
1. Public Hearing, Discussion and Possible Action on ZTA 2022-080058, a zoning text amendment request by Clearfield City to amend the sign regulations in the Downtown Form Based Code. (Legislative Action).
The proposed changes will add standards for Building Identification signage and will align sign regulations for Wall Signs and total property signage with sign regulations used citywide.
2. Public Hearing, Discussion and Possible Action on ZTA 2022-080059, a zoning text amendment request by Clearfield City to amend regulations for Firework Stands, Temporary or Seasonal Merchants as outlined in Section 11-13-26 of the Clearfield Municipal Code. (Legislative Action).
The proposed changes will provide greater flexibility for firework stands, temporary or seasonal merchants citywide as allowed along specific streets previously identified in code. Schools, churches, or other nonprofit organizations located in residential zones that are along major streets in the city would be allowed to have a fireworks stand, temporary or seasonal merchant with these changes.
All interested persons present will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written comment may also be submitted, by mail to Clearfield City, Community Development, 55 South State Street, Clearfield, UT 84015. Written comments not received prior to the date of the meeting, may not be able to be considered.
A copy of the application is available for review in the Customer Service Center on the 1st floor of the City Municipal Center located at 55 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
