Wellington City Planning and Zoning Minutes Meeting held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the Wellington City Hall Located at 150 West Main Street, Wellington, Utah at 5:30 P.M. Present: Commissioner Patterson, Commissioner Cha, Commissioner McKinnon, Commissioner Peterson Absent: Commission Peterson City Staff: Rebecca Evans, Planning and Zoning Secretary Attendees: James Crook, Harold Hunt, Raelynn Hunt Agenda Item #1 Roll Call The Planning and Zoning Commissioner Steve Cha opened the meeting at 5:32 PM by noting that everyone was present except for Commissioner Peterson. Agenda Item #2 Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes Motion: Commissioner Patterson moved to approve the minutes from June 1, 2022. Commissioner McKinnon seconds. Followed by all in favor none opposed. Agenda Item #3 Harold Hunt - Kennel License Application Raelynn Hunt spoke on behalf of Mr. Hunt. The family currently has 4 dogs which are licensed. The family does not plan to board, breed or train. They simply just have four companion dogs under 25 pounds. Ms. Hunt already visited with the animal shelter and was signed off for approval with them. Motion: Commissioner Cha made a motion to approve Ms. Hunt's kennel license request with additional approval from the city council. Commissioner Patterson seconded. All in favor, none opposed. Agenda Item #4 Ernest Monson - Zoning Change Mr. Monson was not present for tonight's meeting. Motion: Agenda Item #4 James Crook - Jamy Properties Business License Application Mr. Crook recently bought a home that is a duplex. He is planning to use that additional part of his property as a short-term rental, like an AirBnb. According to the ordinance - multifamily housing is allowed for Mr. Crook's zoning. Motion: Commissioner Moosman makes a motion to approve the Business License Application. Commissioner Patterson seconds. All in favor, none opposed. Agenda Item #5 McKay Quinn - RV Park Mr. Quinn was not present for tonight's meeting. Motion: Agenda Item #7 City Council Reports to Planning and Zoning Councilman Zauss was not present for tonight's meeting. Adjourn Meeting adjourned at 6:04 PM Motion: Commissioner Moosman motions to adjourn. Commissioner Patterson seconds. All in favor. None opposed. Next meeting will be August 3, 2022, at 5:30 P.M. at the Wellington City Hall.
