Description/Agenda: NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE SALEM CITY The SALEM CITY is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. -The SALEM CITY tax on a $568,000 residence would increase from $279.29 to $383.31, which is $104.02 per year. -The SALEM CITY tax on a $568,000 business would increase from $507.79 to $696.94, which is $189.15 per year. -If the proposed budget is approved, SALEM CITY would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 37.19% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to a public hearing on the tax increase.
