SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE SALT LAKE CITY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ON Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 7:00 pm, and Monday, August 29, 2022 at 6:00 pm, a public hearing will be held by the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comments relating to the proposal to increase its property tax revenue. Salt Lake City tax on a $576,000 residence would increase from $765.39 to $854.73, which is $89.34 per year. Salt Lake City tax on a $576,000 business would increase from $1,391.62 to $1,554.05, which is $162.43 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, Salt Lake City would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 11.68% above last year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding eligible new growth. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on the tax increase. All persons interested and present will be given an opportunity to be heard in this matter. This meeting will be held via electronic means, while also providing for an in-person opportunity to attend or participate in the hearing at the City and County Building, located at 451 South State Street, Room 326, Salt Lake City, Utah.
