Reference: Notice of Certification of Petition for Annexation A petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Paragonah Town Clerk for the purpose of requesting annexation of property belonging to Laci and Christopher Beaumont located at approximately 560 East Center Street more specifically described as follows: COM AT PT N89*51'59'W 67.00 FT; S0*19'21'E 198.80 FT FR NE COR OF SE1/4SW1/4 OF SEC 33,T33S, R8W,SLM; S0*19'21'E 279.60 FT; N89*51'59'W 150.00 FT; N0*19'21'W279.60 FT; N89*31'27'E 150.00 FT TO POB. Notice of certification was received by the Paragonah Town Council on June 15, 2022. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Paragonah Town Clerk, 44 North 100 West, Paragonah, Utah. Paragonah Town may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Iron County Clerk, 68 South 100 East, P.O. Box 429, Parowan, Utah, 84761, and a copy of the protest is delivered to the Paragonah Town Clerk by July 27, 2022, (30 days from the date of certification). A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by property owners if it contains signatures of the owners of private real property that: (1) is located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real property located in the unincorporated area within 1/2 mile of the area proposed for annexation.
