SALT LAKE CITY PLANNING DIVISION ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING June 16, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. This meeting was held electronically The Administrative Hearing for the Salt Lake City Planning Division was held remotely on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at approximately 5:00 p.m.. Mayara Lima, Zoning Administrator, was present as the Administrative Hearing Officer and called the meeting to order. Club Verse at approximately 601 South State St - Micheal Repp has submitted an application for a bar establishment at the above-stated address. The proposed bar, called Club Verse, would be located in the southernmost suite within the building. The property is located in the D-2 (Downtown Support) zoning district, which requires a Conditional Use process for a bar establishment. The subject property is located within Council District #4, represented by Ana Valdemoros. (Staff contact: Joshua Biggs at 801-535-6083 or joshua.biggs@slcgov.com) Case number PLNPCM2022-00149 Joshua Biggs, Associate Planner, reviewed the petition as outlined in the Staff Report (located in the case file). He stated Staff recommends approval of the request, with conditions. Micheal Repp stated that their goal is to create a community beyond just a bar. They have hopes of opening a coffee shop within the establishment for the morning hours. The public hearing was opened. Hoang Nguyen stated their support of the proposal. Darin Piccoli stated their support of the proposal. The public hearing was closed. Motion Mayara Lima, Administrative Hearing officer stated: Based on the information in the staff report, the information presented, and the input received during the public hearing, I approve PLNPCM2022-00149 for a Conditional Use for a Bar Establishment at approximately 601 S. State St. with the conditions listed in the staff report: 1. The applicant shall record a copy of the approved Security and Operations Plan with the Salt Lake City Recorder's Office as required for alcohol related uses.
