Agenda Item #3 Todd Thorne - Update Mr. Thorne attended the meeting today to let us know that he is now working with the South Eastern Utah Association of Local Governments. Mr. Thorne has been a great resource for Wellington City with the county aspect, but now he will be able to help us with the South East AOG side. Ms. Ori joined Mr. Thorne at the stand and let the commission know that she is the program manager for affordable housing programs within rehabilitation programs. There is currently property available in Wellington that Ms. Ori would like to work with our commission to get the lots ready, that way she is able to find some applicants. Mr. Thorne rounded back with wanting to introduce himself and let the commission know of the changes and to try and get a feel of where the city is at to allow affordable housing. Motion: Commissioner Cha made a motion to approve the business license. Peterson seconds. All in favor, none opposed. Agenda Item #4 Kyle Monson - Farrier/Dog Training Business License Application Mr. Monson has relocated back to the area and would like to bring his business with him. He has 28 years of horse farrier and dog training experience. He would be traveling to people's home to work with horses, but with the dog training - it would be done on his property. The zoning that Mr. Monson resides in allows three large animals per acre which Mr. Monson agreed three would be the max. His dog training is behavioral and pointing. With his time and ability, he would be able to work with four dogs max. Commissioner Moosman mentioned that Mr. Monson would have to apply for a kennel license to be able to support more than the two dogs currently allowed. Motion: Commissioner Moosman made a motion to approve the business license for Mr. Monson's farrier business if the number of large animals doesn't exceed the maximum allowed for the zoning. The dog training is tabled. Commissioner Cha seconded. All in favor, none opposed. Agenda Item #5 Callie Cabrera - Landscaping Business License Application Ms. Cabrera was not present. Motion: Agenda Item #6 Brad and Katelyn Duncan - Drone Services Business License Application Mr. Duncan just graduated from USU Eastern and is a drone pilot. During his course work he met with a few different businesses that are local. They would be working with the mining industry and possibly Savage. He hopes to also work with construction and real estate. As a home occupation business, there would be no impact on traffic in the neighborhood as the home office will just have a computer to do editing. Motion: Commissioner Patterson made a motion to approve the business license. Commissioner Peterson seconds. All in favor, none opposed. Agenda Item #7 Enrique Gudino - Car Sales Business License Application Mr. Gudino has been paying for a license and insurance for three years and is ready to move forward with a business license to run his car dealership.
