Notice of Proposed 2022-2023 Budget
and Public Hearings to be Held
June 15th at 7 P.M.

Residents,
These notices are hereby given of all public hearings to receive public comment to adopt the Gunnison City proposed fiscal year 2022-2023 operating budget along with adopting the certified-tax rate proposed by Sanpete County and to reopen and amend the 2021-2022 budget.
The proposed 2022-2023 budget includes the following rate increases:
o Fire fee - Increase the monthly fire fee by $1/Month ($5.80 to $6.80) Sanpete County Fire district has increased the rate.
o Garbage Fee - Increase the monthly garbage fee by $.25. ($16.50 to $16.75) Whites Sanitation has increased the rate.
There will also be an independent enterprise fund transfer hearing to discuss the intended transfers from the Water/Sewer fund to the General fund in the amount of $215,030.00, which is 7% of the total expenses of the 2021-2023 Water/Sewer budget. With and additional transfer to the Pool fund in the amount of $92,100.00, which is 3% of the total expense of the 2022-2023 Water/Sewer budget.
The hearings will begin at 7 P.M. on Wednesday June 15th, 2022, at the Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center.
