Pleasant Grove Historic Preservation Commission Agenda Meeting Date and Time: Thursday, 19 May 2022, 7 PM Meeting Place: Community Room (108 S. 100 E.) Excused: Denise Motion to begin meeting: Second: Motion to approve meeting minutes: Discussion with Daniel Cardenas, Community Development Director Discuss how the Community Development Department and our Commission can better team with each other. Monthly Subcommittee Check-in Reports 1. Conduct subcommittee monthly check-in reports from subcommittee heads: Preservation (Chris Schow) 1. Update on Old Town Hall project. 2. Talk about take-aways from the Preservation Utah/SHPO Conference in April. 3. Update on the cemetery project. (FYI: updated forms are on the SHPO cemetery site- we don't need to update them to reflect our needs.) Archives (Karen Harbold) Next inventory session is 8 June at 4:30 PM. History & Publications (Laurel Cunningham) 1. Who is currently reviewing the Volume 2 drafts? 2. Update from Laurel about two writing projects: a booklet about the Manila Church (rollout August 2022) and stories of 15 veterans buried in Section C of the cemetery (rollout Memorial Day). Community Outreach (Denise Trickler) Update on projects? Other Business Items 1. Next month we'll have a midway check-in report on the agenda of our 2022 projects-how are our 2022 goals coming along? Those who have their names assigned to projects can give an update on progress or blockades. 2. The Arts Commission is starting a lecture series and want to know if we'd like to team with them for a lecture. (Stacy Martineau has the details.) Adjourn meeting and begin Heritage Festival Meeting Next PGHPC meeting: Thursday, June 16, 7 PM
