- Public Hearing & 30-day Public Comment Period for the 2022 Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Economic Development Plan. The Five County Association of Governments (FCAOG) has completed a Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Economic Development Plan (DRRE), which has been developed to respond to the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, and to prepare for future economic shocks. Main goals of this effort were to understand the impact of the pandemic on the region's economy, identify gaps and vulnerabilities through a SWOT analysis, and prepare for future economic shocks by acknowledging opportunities for resilient growth. A thirty-day public comment period for the DRRE commences on Tuesday May 17th, 2022 and will end Thursday June 16th, 2022. Drafts of the Five County Economic Development District DRRE Plan will be available to the public during the public comment period and thereafter. A public hearing for the DRRE will be held on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at 6:00 PM, to allow for additional comments as well as address comments received during the comment period. The hearing will be held at the FCAOG offices located at 1070 W. 1600 S., Bldg. B, St. George, UT 84770 in the large conference room or by using the following link: https://meet.goto.com/CDACohort/drre-publichearing Review of the DRRE Plan is available at the FCAOG office located at 1070 W. 1600 S., Bldg.
