INVITATION TO BID Project Number 001.22 CITY OF COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS 2277 East Bengal Boulevard Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121 Notice is hereby given that the CITY OF COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS (OWNER) will accept bids for the preconstruction phase and construction phase services for the STORM DRAIN ACCESS RESTORATION PROJECT - PROJECT # 001.22 - according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by the ENGINEER, CITY, AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK (CMAR), and described in general as: The work includes providing pre-construction and construction phase services for the below described project, located in Cottonwood Heights. The pre-construction phase services includes contributing to value engineering and final design, methods, pricing and final specifications for the project. The construction phase services consists of overseeing work as the CMAR for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and services required for the construction associated with access restoration. The City of Cottonwood Heights has identified 240 storm drains access features (manholes) which are inaccessible for varying reasons. The work for the storm drain access restoration project (Project # 001.22) consists of CMAR preconstruction services as described in the paragraph above. The work also involves overseeing the self or sub-contracting of the construction phase services for access restoration. This includes but is not limited to the following items of work: mobilization, traffic control, and maintenance of traffic; restoration and reconstruction of storm water access structures to grade. The level of work required to restore access will vary from feature to feature. Pavement patching, earthwork, reconstruction of curb and gutter, repair of deteriorating piping, replacement of eroded fill and other miscellaneous remediations are expected albeit unpredictable and the contractor should prepare for such contingencies at all sites. All work is to be done in accordance with Drawings and Specifications prepared during the pre-construction phase of the project by the Engineer, City and CMAR team. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined beginning on May 10th at 11:00 AM at the City Offices, 2277 E. Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights; request for a copy of REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS shall be submitted via email to Dillon Bliler at dbliler@to-engineers.com (435-315-9051). Separate sealed bids will be received by the OWNER in their office located at 2277 East Bengal Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121 until 5:00 p.m. on May 26th, 2022 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be addressed and delivered to Cottonwood Heights City Recorder, prior to the Bid Opening. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the mobilization, demobilization and permitting, and base bid will be required to accompany bids. All questions relative to the project shall be submitted via email to Dillon Bliler at dbliler@to-engineers.com. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to accept or reject the whole or any part of any bid; or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the best interest of the City.
