RE: Lindon City General Plan Amendment
To Whom It May Concern:
During the remainder of 2022, Lindon City will be reviewing each element of its General Plan for a comprehensive amendment. Lindon City last adopted its general plan in 2011 with various updates since that time. It is anticipated that the general plan amendment will be adopted the first quarter of 2023. Additional noticing, as per Utah Code, will be provided as the City nears the adoption process.
As per Utah Code 10-9a-203, Lindon City is providing notice that it intends to prepare a general plan amendment. Lindon City invites organizations to provide information for the city to consider in the process of preparing, adopting, and implementing the general plan amendment including:
- Impacts that the use of land proposed in the proposed general plan amendment may have; and
- Uses of land within the municipality that the affected entity is considering that may conflict with the proposed general plan amendment.
In addition, Lindon City or its consultant, Landmark Design, may be reaching out to your organizations for stakeholder meetings. Additional information on the general plan update can be found on the City website at http://www.lindoncity.org after April 28, 2022. Your organization may also reach out to me to discuss the general plan amendment. Attached is boundary map that identifies the geographic area that will be affected by the general plan amendment.
