Public comments;
(This time is set aside for the public to express their ideas, concerns, and comments (limited to three minutes per person)
Ethan Bishop- Request for sponsorship for a leadership conference: Ethan told the board that he has been selected to attend the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge. He will learn about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights while there. Upon returning he will help to plan a Veterans Day Assembly at MHS. He is asking the board to possibly sponsor him for $400 to help offset the costs. Channing asked Monica to look up what Meadow Town's usual donation is. Monica found it to be $350. Channing motioned to approve the sponsorship with the request that Ethan comes to a meeting after he returns and reports what he learned to the board. CJ seconded the motion. All were in favor.
Jim Beckstrand- Flags: Jim stated that he and Tammy had been to the cemetery in Holden for Memorial Day and were impressed with the large flags that they had placed at each Veterans grave. They did some research and found a source that they know who is willing to sell a kit that includes; a 3x5 flag on a PVC pole and a piece of rebar to go into the ground for $18 a kit. It is estimated that there are just over 100 Veterans buried in Meadow's cemetery. They would also like the flags displayed at the Meadow Park on Veterans Day. This could also be opened up to a sponsorship type program. Channing motioned to get the ball rolling and order 110 kits. Dustan seconded the motion. All were in favor.
Other: Issues and or matters to be discussed and expressed by the public. Limited to three minutes per matter: Zane Murnan asked if the water in Meadow is being tested. Mayor Bishop indicated that Andrew has been doing that and will be attending training for certification in two weeks. The state of Utah gives the town one year to get someone certified, but Andrew should be done much sooner than that timeframe.

Water Department: Channing said that we have been testing as needed and all has been well. The UDOT pit is done. They decided to place a new line and rolled up the old to use for smaller projects.
Electrical Department: Dustan didn't have anything to discuss. Gary wondered where we were with the resolution for Dixie Power to take care of shut off situations. Dustan thought that Dixie emailed something. Monica will look into it. Gary asked that there be a draft ready to look over at the March meeting.
Road Department: Gary was contacted by Daryl Friant from UDOT. They had a discussion about looking into the cut off road by the Conoco. Is this something the council would like to pursue? There is no data citing that it is a safety issue. There may be funds for a traffic plan. No decision was made, but the board may consider it later.
