PUBLIC NOTICE 3/15/22 Invitation for Bids The City of St. George is requesting sealed bids for the construction/reconstruction of the: Aircraft Hangar 56J Located at 4508 S Airport Parkway, St George, UT 84790 All bid documents must be plainly marked with BID#: 22-014 AIRCRAFT HANGAR 56J CONSTRUCTION/RECONSTRUCTION on the outside of a sealed envelope. BIDS must be delivered in a sealed envelope prior to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2022 to the following location: City of St. George, Purchasing Department Attn: Mary Wahl, Purchasing Manager 175 East 200 North, St. George, UT 84770 The BIDS shall be opened in an electronic meeting. Notice for the BID opening shall be sent to everyone on the Plan Holders List prior to the BID opening. The bidder shall visit the project site and become familiar with the existing site conditions. Technical questions regarding the bidding documents shall be directed to Dustin Warren, dustin.warren@sgcity.org, 435-627-4087 The BID includes the following: Existing floor in hangar to be removed and replaced to engineer specs. After concrete is removed, a 5 foot over x to remove expansive soil. An addition of a 20x40 office space training area and bathroom will need to be built. Exterior concrete will need to be removed and over x of 5ft performed and concrete apron repoured. We will need an electrical service upgrade, interior lighting, and outlets. All BIDDERS who submit a BID are required to be on the Plan Holders List. Addenda will only be provided to the plan holders that are on the Plan Holders List. Every BID shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the BID, naming the City of St. George as oblige, this bid bond must be issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Utah and be on a bond form acceptable to the City of St. George. As required by St. George City Code 1-10B-14 a signed certificate of legal work status for the BIDDER must accompany the BID. City of St. George reserves the right to reject any, or all BIDS, or to waive any formality or technicality in any BID, in the interest of the city. Post: March 15, 2022, through March 23, 2022
