NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North Ogden City Council received an annexation petition from Dan Birch on behalf of Howard W. Cheney to annex property into the corporate limits of North Ogden City. The property contains 11.114 acres in area and is located at approximately 1500 North 150 East in North Ogden, Utah. The City Council received certification from Susan Nance, City Recorder on January 4, 2022. Copies of the proposed annexation are available from the City Recorder at 505 East 2600 North, North Ogden, Utah.
The legal description of the property petitioned for annexation is as follows:
Part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 5, Township 6 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, U.S. Survey: Being at the southwest corner of said Quarter Section, and running thence North along the Quarter Section line 798.60 feet; thence North 88° East 421.08 feet; thence South 89°16' East 179.16 feet; thence South 811.00 feet; thence North 89°25' West 600.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 484,139 square feet or 11.114 acres.
The City Council will receive written protests to this annexation from the legislative or governing bodies of the affected entities until February 7, 2022, at 5pm. Only written protests by legal protesters will be considered. A written protest to this annexation must be filed with the Weber County Board of County Commissioners, 2380 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401. A copy of said protest must also be provided to Susan Nance, City Recorder, North Ogden City, 505 East 2600 North, North Ogden, Utah 84414 by February 7, 2022. If written protests are received, the City Council will evaluate and determine the validity of the protest and if the protests are from legal protesters. Upon the completion of such an evaluation and determination, the City Council may or may not adopt an Ordinance annexing this property on February 8, 2022.
